Stay at Stradbroke Island House.
From the moment you step onto the ferry, your island adventure begins. Crossing the waters of Moreton Bay en route to Stradbroke Island, the world is left behind and you are now on island time.
It’s time to go barefoot and exhale. You’re here. The drive through subtropical bush dotted with banksias reveal a turquoise vista of sparkling sea.
Resting upon a grassy hill, where the bush meets the beach, you’ll find an original 1970s A-frame, your home for the stay. A quintessential Australian weekender on the fringes of the small island town of Point Lookout.
The first thing you notice when you arrive is the classic architecture and the lush atmosphere. Moments later, you’re drawn outside to the view from the sun deck. Here you have a rare and uninterrupted view across the entire stretch of Flinders Beach and out to Moreton Island and The Glass House Mountains.
When you aren’t at the local beach, which is just steps away down a hidden track, or experiencing the island’s natural beauty, you’ll be here, on the sun deck. Enjoying the local seafood, mixing sundowners and watching the sunset, bathed in golden Australian light that transports you to a simpler time.
We look forward to welcoming you at ‘Stradbroke Island House’.
