The Black Cereal Bowl

These simple cereal bowls remind me of the ones from childhood, which my mum would prepare our morning cereal in when I was little. A classic shallow bowl which only ever appeared in the mornings for cereal and were never seen again until breakfast the next day. Strictly for breakfast cereal only.

I use The Cereal Bowl each day at home, and sometimes for more than just cereal (don't tell my Mum). 

These special handmade pieces set the mood for how I want to feel when I’m at home and the bowls have become ingrained in my morning ritual.

Whether I'm enjoying a quiet Sunday morning or preparing to race around through the weekdays, The Cereal Bowl is always ready to help me start my day.

This one of a kind piece is made in Australia by potter Sharon Alpren, who also makes our Stoneware Mugs, White Cereal Bowls, Weekend Bowl, White Everyday Jugs and Black Everyday Jugs. All of Sharon’s pieces can be collected together as they have a matching glaze to make a set of ceramics for the home.

I have collected Sharon's work for years and her objects make daily routine feel special. Sharon hand throws these pieces on the pottery wheel using high fired stoneware clay. They are glazed in matt charcoal black, with speckles.

Approximately 7cm high and 16cm diameter. Each piece is individually made, so size and markings may vary slightly.

Ideal for cereal, yoghurt, fruit and much more. The Cereal Bowl is oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
